Musician, Singer, Composer, and Business Owner, Rajma is the all-things-strings guy. Starting out on violin and working his way through most of the stringed-instrument family, he has been crafting his musical abilities since the age of 5. Ranked the number seven fiddle champion in the United States for his age division (0-18) by the age of 12, Rajma’s love of bluegrass, country-folk, and foot-stompin’ music led to many state fiddle championships by the time he was 15. By 18, he had become a classically-trained violinist playing in major symphonies and performing solos for various events.
But, Rock n’ Roll wasn’t that far behind. After playing guitar in a few high school garage bands, Rajma joined a popular Youngstown, OH-based pop cover band, Graphic Pink, as their lead singer traveling and performing 5-6 nights a week at bars, festivals, and events; all while privately teaching stringed instruments to 60+ students a week. Next, he put together a blues power trio called Triple Threat, focusing on bringing back the blues and Southern-rock classics by artists like Stevie Ray Vaugh, Jimi Hendrix, ZZ Top, and The Allman Bros.
Through the years Rajma has worked with major-label recording artists, writing and composing string compositions for their albums and has had the opportunity to share the stage with acts such as Barbra Mandrel, The Oak Ridge Boys, The Romantics, Loverboy, Kansas, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Mountain, Joe Bonamassa, Chris Duarte, Tommy Castro, The Clarks, and Donnie Iris to name a few.
All this experience culminated one cold and snowy February evening when Leanne saw Rajma performing Voodoo Chile at an empty bar on the west side of Youngstown. Since then they have collaborated on several songs and albums, like “2 Drinks til Midnite”, played thousands of shows up and down the US east coast, and toured Europe twice including playing The Cavern in Liverpool, England, and The Great Rhythm & Blues Festival in Colne U.K.
Currently, Rajma is working with Leanne on a catalog of new material for film and TV. He also serves as musical director for her live performances.
